Golem

The Golems are a race of giant, animate masses of various minerals that stalk rocky areas, especially mountains. Exactly how they came to life is unknown, but they need very little sustenance to survive. Most Golems are actually shy or aloof, and don't often attack others unless provoked. Nonetheless, they are slow and durable, and will be a considerable time investment to kill.

A Golem made of iron ore. When the ore comes to life, the iron is magically refined and becomes pure, shining radiantly under the sun, and will never rust. Needless to say, Iron Golems are significantly tougher to break than Golems of clay or stone.
